I agree with those who would put on the HID kit. The is a site called xtralights.com that has really good prices. They also sell the projectors for the trucks. This way it keeps you legal. I have already installed the housing and just waiting to install the HID kit. I had a set on the ford i owned but traded them in for the dodge. I am looking forward to seeing a better.

Was thinking about 9007 HB5 NOKYA COSMIC WHITE BULBS 100/80W 5000K STAGE 2. I found them on ebay and was wondering what everyone thought.
Thanks for the help
if you want FRIGGIN bright, this is what you will do. go here http://stores.ebay.com/Retrofit-Sour...QQftidZ2QQtZkm

and get the projectors out of an FX35 (for those of you that dont know what projectors are they are the things inside headlights mostly in luxury cars such as infiniti, lexus, bmw etc...the things that have that half sphere of glass, u know?) anyways...you will buy ones out of an FX35 and retro fit them into your headlights, then you will buy a set of 85122+ bulbs (THE brightest bulb available that is 35 watt) you will get some Hella Gen 3 35watt ballasts and a bi-xeon wiring kit.

here is an example of the outcome:

i was going to do this as my first mod, but i decided against it.

Sounds like alot of work. Maybe I should just drive my 300C with the factory HID's and stop bitchin bout my ram (LOL).
I was actually looking for a plug in bulb that's brighter than the silverstars I have now. On the upside.....I just got an email from Gibson and my Super Truck Exhaust should be at my doorstep in two days . That should take my mind off the headlights for a day or two.

I would not use silverstars as I have used two sets in my fogs and they keep burning out. I wore cotton gloves when I installed them and did not contaminate them. Don't know what the deal is.

i got tired of replacing my silverstars every 3-6 months, so i went hids...... no regrets in that decision. If you are looking for hids that are true plug and play email this guy garzausarmy@yahoo.com his name is Tim. A bunch of guys including myself on here have ordered from him, he's also on another dodge forum, dodge talk . com (just leave out the spaces). look in the sponsor section his link is hid solutions, good prices, any color temp u want, a few diff. kits to choose from (single beam, hid lo with halogen bulg built in for the hi and dual hid hi/lo). he drives a Ram so these kits are perfect for our trucks. but back to the original issue, if you go with a higher wattage bulb just upgrade the sockets to ones that will be able 2 handle it. Auto zone has em for like 12 bucks i think, i had 2 do that for my fogs cause i melted the crap out of em.
