I'm looking for brighter headlight bulbs for my 04. I have silverstars in now for headlights and fogs. The fogs are awesome but the headlights suck.
Was thinking about 9007 HB5 NOKYA COSMIC WHITE BULBS 100/80W 5000K STAGE 2. I found them on ebay and was wondering what everyone thought.

I would go with a reputable name like HELLA or PIAA. Just my .02

 

I've used Farenheit bulbs in my truck before...they were brighter then the silverstars IMO

 

Be careful of some models. Some run very hot and will melt wires. I'm afraid of going there, so I'm just going new projector housings with HID's.

 

Are the Farenheit bulbs affordable? Dont want to spend too much, need GAS money

 

I know you're absolutely right about going with a reputable name but I was trying not to spend too much, I just ordered a Gibson Super Truck exhaust and was hoping I could go cheap with the bulbs. Do you know of a site that has good prices on the Hella or PIAA bulbs?

 

Just make sure yu get Stock wattage bulbs 60w/55w. DOn't use anything greater or you will have trouble.

 

yeah they way cheap....i use to be able to find em online for like $30 for the pair....usually lasted me a few yrs

 

I found them online for $18.00 a pair but I see that they are 80/100 watts. Did you have any problems with heat from the higher wattage bulbs?

 

ALWAYS gonna have problems drawing more power than stock. Your going to melt the wires on the harnesses that attach to the bulbs. Could even catch fire. That's like trying to run a 1,000watt amp on a 14awg power wire. Not gonna happen without a problem. The amp will still try to suck all power needed through that wire and heat it up like crazy.
