Question 09 2500 has IFS?

Am I just seeing things or did Dodge switch to IFS on the 09 2500's?

http://www.dodge.com/en/2009/ram_250...ng_suspension/

Excuse me but i've been out of the loop for a while.

well....taking the words right from them.....

"Ram is built to be durable from the ground up with a coil-over shock double-wishbone independent front suspension for a smooth ride that has been tested on over two million miles of road."

....so i would say that they have....that blows

From the 2009 press release it sounds like only the 2wd...

"Suspension setups are designed for capability and ride dynamics. An independent, double-wishbone front suspension with coil-over shock absorbers is standard on two-wheel-drive Dodge Heavy Duty models. Four-wheel-drive versions are equipped with a rigid-beam front axle supported by a five-link, coil-spring suspension. Rear suspension, common to both two- and four-wheel-drive models, is composed of a heavy-duty solid axle and longitudinal springs. The Hotchkiss-design rear suspension uses leaf springs that reduce wheel hop and deliver confident handling when fully loaded. "

Well everyone that wants a pickup for a car will be happy but it loses a lot of appeal to those that use their pickups.

I'll try to stop by a local dealer with 09's tomarrow and check.

this bugs me because I was mildly entertaining the thought of trying for an 09 2500 I saw the other day if they offer a good deal on it.
