Cool Hemi power...

I was on my way home this guy in his red 1500 kept wanting to race so at the 3rd light I did.The light turned gren and I was off and then got neck to neck and then it was like he had a turbo. So after we got to the next light we gave each other thumbs up and he yells yah hemi power. So thats why I was wondering if my hemi was working right. And I also went home with a sore ear from my wife yelling at me in the truck...but yah it was sweet.

Need more info...exactly what kind of truck did you race and what truck config do you have? (quad cab, single cab, 4x4?) Are you modded? Your truck is probably running just fine....he was probably modded and you more than likely don't have a lot of dragging experience.

I had zero clue what you were trying to say. Not until I read the first post I had any idea.

No. Please, no more details!

DYNO! That will tell you if your Hemi is "working properly".

Cool Hemi power

I believe he was driving a 1500 extened cab and it was also dark out and I have a 05 1500 with 5.7 hemi quad cab. I am planning on doing mods to my truck just getting prices now....my first things is a new chip and also my 2 inch lift in the back akeand 3" in the front and aslo a cold air intake...and more. Any other suggestion would be great for inprovment since I hate to loose but it was all in fun and thats what counts...

Mine is faster if I back out of the throttle some after flooring it. Even with the Predator, it does this.
I did kick it from a 5mph roll Thursday and it jumped sideways and spun a bit until it hit second gear. Kinda fun to have a Quadcab sideways

The Hemi, by nature is a very good mid/upper level HP engine. It needs mods for good low end torque performance. Yeah, in stock form, the 3k hit is about right.
Hell, the dude coulda simply had 4.56 gears and woulda smoked you off the line...

Sounds like he wanted to race you because he knew he had a new mod on his truck and wanted to try it out on you.
