Angry Loss of engine control on highway

Driving down the highway today i was going about 75 and the power light came on and i lost all control of throttle.. I hit the gas but nothing happened.. The truck didnt shut off but there was nothing when i hit the gas.. I had to turn my flashers on and coast to the side of the road and shut my truck off. I started it back up and it ran fine for alittle while then it happened again.. This is the 3rd time its happened. its an 04 4x4 4 door with the 5.7 hemi.. i had my 60,000 mile check up last november. I need some help from ya guys.. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

similar thing happened to me in my durango. except engine shut off, and i had no power brakes and the steering wheel locked up. it was due to a bad PCM.

When you say nothing happens, You mean the engine doesn't even rev? Because if the engine responded but nothing else, its a driveline issue.
