Default Urgent tire question

So i went shopping for tires today, i figured I would get some rough prices for spring time so i could start savin up, good news two of my stocker goodyears are separating from the belts. The rt front and the lft rear, awesome.
So im looking at 305-55-20R cooper ltz. Im some research on here they seem to have solid reviews. I can get a set of 4 with 3yr warrenty from discount tire
for $1000 out the door. Thats with some credit for the 2 decent tires i have left, and for the two defective goodyears.
The other option is some toyo open country tires. $990 out the door.
But Cooper seems to have a better rep.

So a couple questions
1. Toyo or cooper?
2. $1000 seem reasonable?
3. 305 vs stock 275? pros, cons? (the guy recommended I go up)

Im headed over in the morning to get them on
so i would appriciate a quick reply
thanks
-Scott

imo i would go coopers. i have had them for about 5 months and they handle and ride great. i paid 850 out the door for the stock size so i would say thats a good deal

i have the stock 20 inch rims on my truck and i put the coopers on with a more aggressive tred gave a total diff look and only cost mey 650 out the door and you can feel the difference when it snows or rains lot more grip

I would go with the coopers also. Had them on my other Ram and loved them. Made the mistake and went with Pirelli tires and I hate them. The wear on them is horrible.

305 would look nicer because their width gives the truck a more aggressive stance but they do hurt fuel economy due to their size.

Never had Coopers but Toyo AT's were decent, performed better then i thought they would

Insurance paid for 4 new tires after i got involved in a wreck and ran over steel. well only 2 were ruined but i talked the insurance guy into it cause they wanted to put new tires on the front and leave the bald ones on the back. 4x4 bad idea to much tread difference so i got 4 new ones.

they did pretty good but go with the coopers.

The 305/55's are like $100 more per tire than stock size 275/60. You could save around $400 for a lil bit smaller
