Quote: thats sounds much more reasonable to me. what about getting a used amp? i dont think that there are that many problems with them.
i will probably replace my door speakers and get a head unit

so $70 for door speakers and $130 for stereo. i think i might just get a new head unit and replace my door speakers first then go from there. i wont worry about my back 6 1/4s because i dont think they make much of a difference in a regular cab
if you get a used amp make sure its been used and not just sitting around. friend took out his system in his tahoe and a yr later put it back in his new car and the amp didnt work. the stereo guy said it happens when they just sit around after being used

i think the aux input doesnt allow you to control your ipod but the usb port does if they say it has ipod controls

well i meant that on the stereo itself, you can see a list of songs from your ipod and scroll through it just as you would on the ipod. it seems to me to be easier and safer than having to look at your tiny ipod. there you can use the big ***** to do it.
what about the adapter

can i get it cheaper somewhere else and do i really need it?
