i am in this same dilemma now. i have a 06 everything calls for a 5.25 speakers but all i am finding from crutchfields are 6.5 and 6.75 they say they'll fit but i am asking to users here what did you actually get and was there any additional fabrication?

there website it that you need to drill new holes to accomidate the larger speakers - how hard is this?

how hard is it to take apart the door panels? any clips or just screws? I have all electric swtiches.

pretty noobticstic on mechanical work
To remove rear door speakers, remove one 10mm bolt from rear of door release handle and one phillips screw located above door release handle. Lift door panel straight up. Disconnect wiring harnesses and remove door panel. Once you do all that, just check what size speakers you have

(2007 QC) I replaced mine with 5 1/4 Polk Audios. Fit pretty good and sound great with the (PA) 6X9's, 2 AMPs and Single 10" P-1 .

Sub box wise, I would suggest the FoxBox!!! They are a great fit, affordable, and they sound great! I have the 2x10 vented box and couldnt be happier.

as far as the back speakers go, I have JL XR 6.5 components in the doors, with the tweets mounted in the headliner (really adds a spacious sound to the stereo field)

Acoustic treatment is CRUCIAL...FatMat is like dynamat, but can be bought on ebay for about $100 for 100sqft. It makes a HUGE Difference:

Amps mounted behind back seat (out of sight, VERY HARD TO STEAL!)
