Which tonneau bed cover?
Just bought a 2007 Quad Cab 4x4. Haven't even picked it up yet, but already looking for a bed cover. My current truck has a fiberglass cover and it looks nice, but I need to take it off occassionally and that's a pain.
I'm leaning toward the type that rollup in a canister in the bed or the foldup kind. I want one made of some type of material I could stand on if I wanted to.
I've seen a lot of brands out there on the internet. Rollbak, PaceEdwards, Retrax, RollnLock, TruckCovers, BakFlip, etc. What are your experiences with these types of covers? Do they hold up? What are the drawbacks? What did you pay? Are they easy to install?
All help most appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Although I've never had a roll-up like you are talking about, the drawback I see to the ones that roll into a canister is that you lose that space at the front of the bed. For me that would not be an option, because it would make it harder to fit my ATV in there. I want to get one eventually, but I still have not decided between the BakFlip and the Access Roll-up. I had an Extang on my Dakota, but I didn't like it because it was VERY hard to get on in the winter, even at the "loose" setting. Plus I like the flatter look rather than the more arched look of the Extang.
check out moesperformance. they have the access tonneau's on sale for like 40% off. they're awesome awesome covers. not weight bearing, but it meets all your other requirements. why do you need to stand on it? the cover takes literally 20 seconds to roll up with one person...
If I were in the market I'd be looking at an 'Undercover'. Light weight (one person can easily remove or replace it), rigid, lockable and inexpensive. For someone who likes the advantages on a fiberglass unit, but needs to be able to remove it frequently.

I think I've settled on the BakFlip HD. The fold up style meets all my needs. It doesn't take up space in the bed like a rollup and I need all the space I can get. It's light weight and easy to remove. The HD version only weighs 36 lbs. I've been caught many times where I need to haul something and can't just run home to take off the cover. The fold up lets me do that. The HD costs a little more, but I think it's better quality than the regular G2 version and I like the fact that it's aluminum, not plastic - and it's lighter than plastic. And I like that I can fold up all the way till it rests against the rear window, so I can have complete access to my bed - I can even drive with it that way. Finally, if I wanted, I bet I could even take the thing off and put it in my back seat. From what I've read on many forums, if you do a good job installing, the leakage is very minimal or none at all.
Now all I need to do is find the best price. So far I've found it at two different places for about $840 or $850 with free shipping. Anyone know of somewhere cheaper than that?
