Paint Peeling. Help!!!

Exclamation Paint Peeling. Help!!!

ok so i washing my truck today and i noticed on top of the drivers side door that the paint was peeling and also kinda pubbling. its only on the top of the door no where else. i bought the truck at carmax so i plan on taking it in there and seeing what they say. i wash my truck at least once a week so i know its not from neglect. here are some pics.

looks like oxidation to me . need to get it sanded and re-paint and then cleared

Was there a warranty at CarMax? Most of the time it is bought as is. If that's the case, then you may not be good. If CarMax is cool, then they may help you.

i have an extended warranty just dont know if its through carmax. regardless though i think they should be liable bc they arent supposed to sell cars that had repairs. and they know it had repairs bc i took it into gt it appraised and they said that my driver door had been repainted. i said i never did i and that i had but it their and then they couldnt answer and said it wasnt a big deal and it didnt lower the value of the car. im going right now and ill let you guys know what happens

ok well just got back from carmax. they showed me that in fact my truck was painted before i bought but they did not tell. the guy said they only warranty that for a year and it has ben three so im screwed. im so pissed right now.

that sucks that they wont cover that.. but I would get it fixed soon...

yea i know i have to save some money now... do you think the whole door needs to be repainted or just the top?

aslong as the rest of the door looks good. you can get them to just blend it in with the rest of the door and it will be alot cheaper.

+1. Just get them to blend it in with the rest of the door as long as the rest of the door is in good shape.
