Default Thanks guys

I really appreciate all the help. I was really just wondering if getting a newer truck is worth it. What it really comes down to is what's more affordable when I get to the dealership. U guys have definitely persuaded me to go with the bigger engine, but if the price just isn't right, i'll stick with the 4.7. Really appreciate all the help!
Thanks

Use edmunds.com true market value to help you negotiate the price. You should be able to get the truck you want for a couple thousand less than TMV.

deffinitily won't be disappointed in buying a new ram...i would deffinitly say go with the Hemi unless your looking at a 2500 then i'd say it's a no brainer to go with the CTD as long as you get a 03-06....other then that, they have been great trucks for me...no real major issues that were due to the truck...just my own fault lol

you could definitely save more than a few grand by going with the 4.7 and if the most you do is tow a 2000lb trailer, you wouldnt need the extra power of the hemi. granted, the hemi is way more fun but having money in your pocket is fun too

Default one last question

one last question guys, I was doing my homework and saw that the 5.7 hemi has the cylinder deactivation thing where the truck only uses 4 cylinders when it's not demanding high power. Has anyone honestly NOT run their truck hard and noticed that this made a difference or not?
thanks again

My MDS kicks in when i make the trip to my trucking yard alot, its a 100 mile run. I run in town with a heavy foot so to be honest, i see no difference...im averaging about 18 mpg

At the prices they are throwing around today, I can't imagine not getting the Hemi. As for the flex fuel thing.... when's the last time you saw an E-85 station on the side of the highway? Last time I looked it up, my state only had a few and they were all on military bases and not open to the public.

Get the Hemi.... unless you wanna go all out and get a diesel 2500. :-)

Talking new truck
