As several others have mentioned I like my 05' Hemi with mods and do believe that 05' was indeed the best year (yet) for the Rams. Personally I would not trade for the 06' and up Rams; but that's just 'my' opinion - let economics and your needs help you make the right choice and good luck! If Chrysler goes belly-up in this current situation then maybe no choice is a good choice?

paid $18000 for my 05' w/ 16k on it. got 28000K on it now.. I feel it was well worth it.

well last i traded my 99 sport in in nov for an 04 with 50k on the ticker and got it for 9k granted its got the 4.7 but i think its just as quik if not quiker than my 5.2 but i love it and you know i loved my big red truck 04 05 thumbs up get a better price look around maybe even autotrader.....hope to see on the 3rd gen side soon ......j.......

yeah it looks really nice same color as mine silver and i love silver, i love my 5.9 and evreything done too it , but i also like the 30xxx on the 05. my 5.9 will keep up with the hemi, sometimes ill win, but if i traded mine in i would want something for it, and use that money too do up the 05 a bit. but dunno if parents would go for it. thats alot of money...... thanks for the help guys i would love to be a 3rd gen rammer lol

If I could do it over again i'd get an 05, I like the interior more. The front-end ehhh not so much...but it would be worth the trade. MDS can be tuned out but being able to put in a bigger cam than the 06+'s would also be nice.

I have a late 04' model laramie and love it. Also agree that 04' and 05' were the best years for the rams.

And '03, because we have the first 1500 with the ability to boast the Hemi badge. Our only problem is the PCM in the Hemi, but it's still a nice truck.
