No bottoming out and when I "get air", it hasn't yanked out the shocks yet :-) No bouncing after railroad crossings and handles great (the Hellwig sway bar helps there). Twisties are lotsa fun! BTW, a level kit should reduce the chance of bottoming out -- you're starting with the shocks extended another two inches or so.

how much of a difference did a new sway bar make? and did you get fancy eurethane bushings?

ya sure....you dont have to install new shocks...but you will bottom out eventually and if you do any kind of off-road driving BANG! not to mention the wheel travel is so limited.

On the 06-08 1500's, the 2.5 in leveling spacer should not change the shock travel at all from stock. The spacer bolts to the top of the entire strut assembly. However a Rancho or Bilstein will ride better than stock anyday

Then you're not asking for a longer shock, rather a quality aftermarket one with adjustable preload and rebound. I've been looking for something along those lines as well, that is until I can afford a Kore or Carli lift. Anyone know if Fox or bilstein make direct bolt in replacements, for those of us who have the struts, yet?
