Alright I think I found a place to mount a switch in the truck the place I would like to do it is right above the Ebrake release there is a panel that is relativly small and is in a good position to mount a switch has anyone tried this i am wanting to put my offroad light switch there and the button for my train horn there so it is easy access and one had succes at doing so

sounds like a decent spot. but the only thing i would be worried about is if you were getting in and hit it with your knee (ouch!) (not really) and ripped it off. the coolest set up i saw was some one mounted a switch in where the little flip out change holder (is what i call it) beside the cup holders or on the back piece of the cup holder.

I know you said 02-05, but I have a 06, and the 06-08 have the same panel. I put a switch for my exhaust cutout there. I don't have a pic, but this is a link to a thread for the grill lights, and someone posted a pic of his switch,

Thats where i put the switch for my Hellas. Great spot for a switch, easy to get to without pulling the whole dash apart and easy to get to while driving.

i mounted the switch for my off road lights in the bezel that surronds the instrument cluster, just to the left of the steering wheel....theres a blank spot there between the steering column cover and the bezel where the headlight switch is...pretty good spot to me

Same as mine. Great spot actually. I have two switches there. Fog and grill lights.
