Recall STEERING DRAG LINK INNER JOINT AND DAMPER BRACKET
I am probably late in the game here but I noticed last week on Dodge.ca that there was a recall for my 2008 Mega Cab. H36 - STEERING DRAG LINK INNER JOINT AND DAMPER BRACKET. I went this morning, got an oil change etc and they were supposed to fix the recall but have to order a "special" part as they put it so they will call when its in.

I don't know if there is a site with the information on it.

for recalls = dodge.com, then top right corner "for owners", click on that and the next page should have a box on the left marked recalls. Just enter last eight digits of Vin #.
If the 1500's have no recall, thats good. I probably did because I have a Mega Cab.
Here are 2 posts on a Canadian Driver web site
1- - 2003-2004-2005-2006-2007-2008 Dodge Ram
Vehicles affected: 4,500. Defective aftermarket steering drag links may have been sold as service replacement parts for 2500 and 3500 pickup trucks.
2- 2008-2009 Dodge Ram
Vehicles affected: 8,040. On certain 2500 and 3500 pickup trucks, the drag link inner tie rod attachment to the pitman arm ball stud may fracture, which could result in loss of control of the vehicle. Also, in some cases, the steering damper attaching bracket may yield and shift on the linkage, restricting the ability to turn the vehicle in one direction. Dealers will replace the drag link inner tie rod assembly. The steering damper will also be inspected and, if necessary, the damper bracket and bolts will be replaced.
