i agree, a new intake setup does alot for a little more power and ALOT more sound. even with the hemi my 57 series helps a ton on throttle response. anyone who says cai's dont make a diff is full of ****

 

yes it sounds awsome and has a little more power.I'm thinking of getting a programer now

 

you might benefit alittle more with a programmer if you get a good exhaust system first...at least its what ive heard from others on here.

I bought a Airaid MIT for my 08 4.7l for $85 shipped from autoanything.com. I decided to drill a hole up front to mount the air sensor since 08's are located differently from earlier models. The stock airbox was kept but a K&N drop in filter is instaslled, it definately has more induction sound than before.

 

so how much hp do you think you gain with the new tube and a K&N filter 20hp or something ? If so I might have to get on that. And i agree i think alot of guys underrate the 4.7. Its no where near as slow as some ppl seem to think, I mean ive never driven a hemi truck but can it really be THAT much quicker. I know I sure kick the *** outta most litle rice rockets with there fancy body kits that try to race me.

but yeah, a new intake makes a huge difference. i dont think its like 20 hp, probably more realistically closer to 10 hp. its definitely a noticable diff though

 

yeah, the little 4.7's kill the little rice rockets.you also gotta realise that most rice rockets look fast but,they didn't do jack $#!t to there motors( i used to be into the rice rocket thing)as for the gains......i wouldn't say its like 20 or anything like that.I sure know when ther motor hits like 2500-3000 rpms you can sure tell a difference from what it used to be before.

 

20 hp? If you get headers, exhaust and full intake your looking at 20 hp, maybe a little more. I can see 2-5 hp increase by having the airaid Mit alone. Just my two cents...

 

I was just wondering cus of the K&N filter i know when i put one on my charger it was a 14hp increaseso i thought maybe with a K&N and new tube on the truck it might be like 15-20 or something
