What year is your truck? I thought that the dash crack was a common 2nd gen problem.

they sell dashcovers on ebay that protect the dash from this happening, or cover it up if it has already happened. they are around $30 for the carpet style ones. after they sit in the sun for a few days they look pretty decent.

the crazy thing is i have never kept up with a vehicle like i do this truck. its gets cleaned inside weekly. full armor all rub down, glass cleaned, and all. washing it... no so much lol, about every 2 weeks since it sits in the drive way a lot. but i do take very good care of it. but like everyone else dodge wouldnt do anything about it. so guess i will go back to my z71 when i get tired of this one. which is a shame since i love the ram... other than the dash crack

no thanks on the carpet on my dash lol... but i already looked into covers and besides that one crack runs to the radio trim and there is another than runs to the passenger airbag so im not even sure they make one that would cover it

i have lived in socal and las vegas most of my life, the carpet ones are almost a neccessity to prevent cracks in the summer. my buddy has one that covers the pass. airbag too. but if you dont like em, you dont like em. much cheaper than replacing the dash.

My 02 cracked in 06 and the dealer said no way on warranty. But they did come half way on price and it only cost $350 to replace and then in 07 I traded it in for the new one. Old problem with no good solution. Good luck with it
