Removing the LSD Clips? Possible?
I already did a search on the subject. However, I didn't get positive info on it.
How many of you have simply removed the clips in the factory diff when doing a fluid change will no ill effects?
How many miles have you driven since then?
I found after searching the posts that they can be pulled with a 30 or 45 degree needle nose. This seems like a very cheap alternative to replacing it with an aftermarket one.
What are your thoughts?

When I did my diff fluid change, I kinda looked into just breakin' 'em out, but they're in there very securely and I didn't want to get them partly out and not be able to finish, so I just left 'em.
I agree, that would seem to be a very cheap alternative to a whole new gear set.

I suppose the argument is that some folks have replaced the entire rear end after finding the clips on the magnet. What nobody is saying is how long have they been driving around with the pieces on the magnet and didn't even know it.
So if this is the case, what's the harm in just yanking them out? I hope to hear from someone who has done this. Before I ruin my diff.
I don't have the money right now for a DTT, but I'd like to feel better about my diff. Wouldn't we all?
