I know how you feel just wanting to find out how you would stand up to the lightning. When I was out earlier today I saw a red lightning and remembered this post. I tried to get him to run to find out how well a Hemi could keep up but he was having none of it. Maybe next time.

Yeah, they have to be fast, Otherwise I would have to constantly push them out of my way. I really hate trucks that I am afraid to use as a truck. May not be fastest truck in the world, But hey atleast I am not afraid to pull down a house, pull out a fence post, haul a bail of hay, or pull a trailer or better yet pull a stuck lightning out of a ditch. But, I regress.

My favorite sticker is still "Bumper to Bumper, Butt to Butt, Get off my @$$ you crazy nut!"

 

They only have a 1,300 payload and the 5k towing ability of a tacoma too...but that's not bad considering it's more of a toy truck. The srt-10 has a payload of 900 lbs and I can't even find a tow rating besides "towing not recommended". Factory boosted is the way to go if you have that option.

 

The 2005 and 2006 SRT-10s with a QC and auto had full towing capacities just like normal Rams, did they not? I'm pretty certain of that b/c I almost bought one back in '07 and made sure it could tow the boat.

If i had a lightning i wouldn't even bother hitting the gas if a hemi was trying to race me. No point in racing something i know i would completely smoke. Just like when F150s or silverados want to race me i just laugh. As far as a lightning vs an SRT-10, the lightning would still beat it. SRT-10 may have the highest top speed, but in acceleration it would lose.
