hey guys,dont want to hijack this thread but i was wondering if any of you guys know what and where the 7th speaker is? i have an 07 ram 1500 with the infinity system,with the seven speakers.i know that the dash has tweeters,front doors are 6x9,read doors are 5 1/4.but what is the seventh??? i know i dont have a sub because its not under the rear seat o under anything that i can see thanks for yoru help guys.if its supposed to have a sub then im goin back to the stealer and get one! LOL!!!

 

but hey check them out on ebay there pretty cheap tbh i think at 20 bucks a set now days. and like 40 for the 6x9's shipped if i think AS65v and AS69v i believe

 

It's in the middle of the dash, it's small, and there aren't really aftermarket replacements.

From my understanding, "most" 5.25 speakers have tabs on the outside of the ring, where the 6.5's have the holes on the ring....so as long as the actual speaker will fit in the hole, you might need to drill new holes, but they should fit....which is why people claim 6.5's fit even though the stock speaker is 5.25.

cool thanks for the info on the seventh speaker.its kind of funny though,isnt it kind of useless to have a center channel when there arent any radio stations that braod cast in 5.1? LOL and i dont have the entertainment system in the truck!! LOL thanks again for the info!!!!!!!

 

Get a HU like mine and the HD tuner like mine and you can go 5.1 all day.

 

i would like to know that if the kicker amp amd speakers are better then the infinity ones,any one know about this?? been thinking about changing the amp.i just dont know if it has more power then the infinity one and if it really worth it?

 

Do not do any of the Dodge Inifinty or Mopar Kicker. Go full aftermarket and you will get a much better sound and better results.

Kicker is yes, but I wouldnt consider Mopar Kicker no more aftermarket than that of the Dodge/Chrystler Infinity. Thats why I said full aftermarket. Granted my Dodge Infinity likely sounds a bit better than a regular stock system but it still sucked and my Kicker coas sound FAR more crisp and loud.
