Speaking of which, Flex-a-Lite (the radiator fan company) makes some kick a$$ all aluminum replacement radiators. Every report I've read on them says they are about the best in the industry. If my stock one ever starts to give me trouble, I'm putting one of theirs in!

My water pump went out at 45k. I have an 04 4.7...ALSO.

Water pump, fan clutch, and... I dont remember what else. At any rate, ext. warranty is great. Not to mention they gave me a Magnum to drive for two days while they fixed it. No, I insist those tires were bald when I got the car!

I would but for 700.00 + not including install I will let this new radiator fall apart. 700.00 is like H.O. camshafts + install pricing. I will let it fall apart in a couple years then do the swap.
Maybe it will come down a couple dollars.

Oh yeah, they are high, but I've seen them at shows, they are purdy!!! Plus that's retail, you can get them a good bit cheaper, but even a good bit cheaper is on the extreme high side for radiators.
But I figure for the performance of the internal fin design, if it lasts the life of the truck, it's worth it.

Maybe you just don't really "loveyourtruck" I think "Ilikemytruck" is an available user name. Would you like me to change it for you?

Well, I am of the old fashioned type if it's not broke dont fix it lol. But when this one goes, I will probably get it but it would have to be like 4-500 for the total kit. 700 is too much. I also want an ASP pulley but I think that would interfere with it.

Well, I went to the dealer and they said they would ONLY replace what's on warranty, the PUMP only. I decided to buy the lower hose, thermostat, water pump and serpentine belt for only $75 more than the deductible of the warranty. I'll do the work myself and have the confidence the parts are good.

Thanks all for your help and opinions.

Why would it cost you anymore than $100 and a couple hours at the max to replace the water pump. $75 for the pump and gasket, $15 for OEM replacement thermostat (Not required) $10 bucks for a hose. Heck if you lived by me, I would do it for a couple of beers and you buy the parts, Then you wouldn't have to wait on the dealership/

And Hammer,
what are the current internals and fins of our radiators, I always thought they were aluminimum to begin with.
