I am getting my tune-up this weekend and need to know if I should just use NGK plugs or Platinum. I have a 05' ram 1500 hemi 4x4 shortbox.

Question Tune-up

I w2as told not to use the Champ plugs since they don't last that long and the Mech...here 2 of them say they have had probs with them...I am not sure of what NGK they are but I want something that will last for awhile so I don't have to pay for another tune-up in 5 or 7 months since my truck is under warranty and I am not allowed to do the work.

You can do the work under warranty you just need to document it and keep receipts for everything. The stock champion coppers are typically recommended as the best one's for the hemi and they last about 30k. I think if you went with iridiums you could go to 60k, but I don't know how that would affect your warranty.

Default spark plugs

I would love to do my own work but I contacted they company I have my extended warranty through and they said I wasn't allowed to touch anything. I don't know if it is cause I am in Canada and the laws are diff or not...

I like the stock replacement Champion plugs. Never had a lick of trouble with them.

So does that mean you have to follow dodge's recommended maintenance schedule or the company who warranties your truck? Dodge recommends 30k plug change intervals, but you could do 60k with iridiums.
