Default when I get my hands on it again.... oh boy

So, the last 2 days Ive been getting pissed off hearing the doors lock when going over 15 MPH or whatever, and unlock when I lift the drivers door handle when stopped.

So I go next door to the sister dealership over lunch, pull the ram in, and hook up thier scan tool.

I spend 5 mins trying to fell my way through thier software.
While doing so I stumbled across "combin brake and turn lights" I take that to mean, when stepping on the brake pedal, all 5 lights on the rear of the truck would turn on (high mount, both in L tail and both in R tail, or turning a turn, both in R tail or both in L tail. Sounds cool to me.

I didnt give it a shot yet cause I had like 10 mins to get back next door before my lunch was over.

I also stumbled on "change country code" Which I take to mean the area or zip the truck is in... as a past post talked about, different country would allow fog lights to stay on with high beams. Does anyone know which countries that is? Mexico? Again didnt get time to play with that either.

I did turn off the door locks, it was in the customer preference's section on the scan tool.

Im gonna have to stop back in on my lunch break soon... real soon.

i thought it was something of a safety feature so some idiot doesnt accidently open the door while going 70 on the freeway
or maybe it might be rapist locks but whos gonna try to open the door on a ram going past 15 mph lol

I can change my settings on my colbalt that way... I can even have so that only the drivers unlocks when put in park and so forth. I hate it too for personal safety issues but there are 3 main reasons I am thankful for it...

-- My kids - esp youngest who loves to play with door handles

-- Bounty Hunting - they cant escape when you put it in park at the station LMAO!!!

-- And the whole drivers unlock only has come in handy once or twice protecting the kids from someone getting in to take them from me...

well as far as the other, I will look into that tomorrow with the fog lights thing. I have a co-worker that knows a lot of that stuff for Dodge... I see if I can find that out for you tomorrow, will give me something to talk to them about anyways other than us drueling over mod ideas for my truck and theirs

I think the break and signal deal would be sweet. Let us know what you find out and what the scan code is. I would take my truck down to the stealer to have them set it if possible.

the one thing i hate most is if you only unlock the driver door at first then when you drive they all lock and when you stop and open the door only the drivers door is able to open and the others arent so you have to press the button its a pain when taking the dog out all the time but i like how it locks just wish they all opened when you opened the door and that would be sweet to have the fogs on with high beams seems like it would help so much
