I couldn't agree more, the CVs seem to hold up fairly well, as long as you don't increase the angle they are forced to work under too much or go with too big of a tire. Your leveled, so you only have what 2", 2.5" of lift on the front, topps?

You go too high or to too big a tire and this is what you get:

Yea, I only have a 2.5" leveling kit in the front so the angles aren't too extreme. If you have good shocks, that's half the battle. You don't necessarily need heavy-duty suspension work to make these trucks badass off-roading machines.

Dont the lift kits come with differential drop brackets to keep the angles right? Is it possible to modify the brackets to drop further down if its not far down enough?

My truck has been leveled with a 2" t-bar crank, but I'd love a 4" lift on it. But......there's that damned money thing rearing its ugly head once again!

Here's my truck out at El Mirage. The only suspension mods i've done to it are a 2.5" level and ProComp Shocks.

Nope, nothing broken yet. Like I said, these trucks (even stock) can handle a lot more then people give them credit for. I'm running ProComp ES3000's.

Moral of the story - Don't be afraid to push your truck offroad!

(And then post pics )
