mine did the same thing....NO RELAY NEEDED...just run the power feed off of ur parking lights....and my 8000K kit works fine.

seawind3000, If you look at my earlier post about my HID's working in the UK, Tim Garza supplied them
He's a 100% reliable guy and will get you a system that works!
I would endorse him to anyone, as his service and aftermarket support is second to none.
