HELLO EVERYONE.

I HAVE A 2003 DODGE RAM 1500 4.7. IM LOOKING FOR HELP. I'D LIKE TO KNOW IF THERE IS AN EASY WAY TO CHANGE A ROD. SOMEONE TOLD ME THAT I CAN REMOVE THE OIL PAN AND I'D BE ABLE TO SEE THE RODS. DOES ANY ONE KNOW IF THIS IS TURE OR IS THERE ANY OTHER WAY? THANKS

yup, that is an easy way to get to them if you have to replace the bearings. but if your gunna be changing the rod out, your gunna have to remove the head as well so you can get the piston and rod back in.

I'm curious as well. I want to know who told you you needed a new rod as well.

Also did they give you the 7/70,000 mile warranty on the drivtrain? If so are you out of 70,000 miles?
