2006 Dodge Ram Mega Cab Pictures:
Have you seen the new Ford Nascar edition Quad Cab. 5.4 I'm 6/6 and I fit inthe rear seat real good. Pricy though. This truck has what we all want only they did it first. Lot's of chrome goodies. Love the shifting lever.
Hey, here are some more pictures and reviews available from the ForbesAutos.com site. They have a great slideshow...enjoy!

Yep, I think on first impression I have to agree with most of the rest of you. I sure am glad I bought my 05. From the looks of the new dakota it looks like they are trying to make a bigger one out of the ram. Front and side view looks similar in several respects to me. I will take my 05 any day!
It's to bad that they didn't make that in the 04 model, Then I would have bought it instead of my Quad cab that I have now. And the bonus is the New hemi motor to boot. Too bad all the kids moved out ,So I guess I'll have to stick with my old 04 4x4 Quad cab Hemi. for a while.
When I originally saw these pics, I thought like everyone else. ICK! Drastic changes.
But our local Dodge dealer took delivery one (Lt Blue 3500) for sale and upon closer inspection, I am changing my outlook on this new truck. I believe that for a truck this big, a short box seems stupid but if you think of how long this vehicle would otherwise be, the shortbox is about the only option if you want to try and park it anywhere. Another foot and a half for the long box and it would start to approach the length of a limo!
As for the front end re-design, 2 dimensional pics don't do it justice. In reality, it does work. The one I spotted was sitting next to an 05, and when sitting side by side, the changes are dramatic, yet not really that bad. In my perception, it still retains the "I'm a Ram. You will respect me!!" attitude.
In my opinion, I hope Dodge offers the 05 style cab with a long box for the 06 model year. With the new front end, I would probably try and buy it sometime next summer.
Just my 2 cents worth.
Proud 98 Ram owner!!

Hey all
Not to sure about that front end, Looks like a big Durango/Dakota, I thought that the Baby Ram was supposed to follow the Big Ram not the other way around. I don't like the slanted grill corners I guess, the 2nd and 3rd Gens looked tougher/meaner.
I'm defiantly not a Chevy guy but I thought the 2000-01 style looked OK. Then they change to the "Crab eyed/Avalanche" look a couple of years ago that made it look really ugly.
Nice cab though good thinking on the extention.

It's Gonna Take The power of the hemi to push it down the road. GOD forbid you try to tow anything with it, You'll have to get major engine mods to carry any cargo or pull anything behind you.
LOL Just kidding I like the cab design but the front fenders and headlights have gotta change
