Default payoff or leave it - want your opinion

Payoff:
Original is $18828 w/ tax
Wells Fargo is discounting to $17236 w/ tax
WF is offering 7.05% (7.24 apy) @40mos for $420/mo

Leave it:
It'll cost me $5110 to keep it until the of the lease. This includes the $400 end of lease cost and I am under the mileage. My payment is $470/mo.

Trade-in value is $13,600. Average actual listings in my area with these miles/features is $16k. The dealer claims he can get me an '08 ram 4x4 QC for the same lease price...I doubt it.

I have my own thoughts but I'm interested in your opinion...Maybe there's something I haven't considered.

If you like the truck, keep it. It seems you have a few things done to it already. Lower your payments, and it will be paid off in a few years. If you want, keep your payment as it is now, and have it paid off sooner.

I would keep it, pay the same amount, and keep my truck.

I'd have to look next time I go by there, but where I bought my '08 Hemi there was one just like it with the 4.7L... '08 QC 4x4... last price they offered it to me was $23,500... might be lower now... if any of y'all wanna come shop in central Arkansas, I'll check on it for ya.

08 = Lifetime Powertrain Warranty
04 = no Lifetime powertrain Warranty.

7.05% is way too much. Should be down around 5.9% or less.

That payoff is too high for a 2004.

Last Aug I got my 08 with SLT and 5.7 HEMI for less than $19,000 out of door (price includes tax, title and whatelse). Granted it has pretty much zero options, but it is a HEMI!

If I were you I'd start looking for leftover 08.
