I just found this on Craigslist and immediately called the guy. He said He just sold it for 2500 bucks. I asked him if he had any idea how much the engine goes for. He said ya a friend of mine said its a 12 valve Cummins and they dont get very much for them. I told him he had better get another look at the engine because its no 12 valve. He said its to late its allready gone. I cant believe it. I missed it by a couple of hours...

Nah, that's all it was worth with that kind of damage

 

It completely depends on if it's an '04 or an '04.5.

If it's an '04, $2500 is a decent deal, great deal if it's an automatic tranny and it's intact, as the tranny alone would be worth close to that.

If it's an '04.5, it's got the Cummins "600" H.O. engine, making it in super-high demand, making the engine/tranny/transfer case easily worth much, much more than the $2500 the guy sold it for...

 

The truck runs and drives. I would have swapped that engine and tranny in a second. Those engines used at salvage yards are bringing over 6 grand...

 

HOLY CRAP!!! I never saw this on craigslist. My computer has been acting somewhat crazy lately. That was a damn good deal. Hey, Alpheus do you want to trade my truck for yours?

I am letting the lawyer handle getting me another 1000 bucks from the guy to cover a new paint job because he ruined my paint with over spray. As far as the body, work I am pretty happy with the way the bed side turned out and the paint is not bad on the fender and the bed but the doors are not straight and the paint job on them sucks. I think I am going to leave the doors alone for now. I just want a new paint job because the rest of the truck is pretty dull. It still is a great improvement from when I bought it...
