Default Child Proof Rear Window

Here's a question. Is there a switch for a child proof rear window? I purchased a door off a wrecked truck ('05 or '06) to replace the door on my truck with a dented door and the window on the new door will only go down about 3 inches and acts like there is a stop. Is there some sort of child lock to keep the window from going down? Anyone know? I can't find one anywhere. I hate to rip out the window in the new door and replace it with the window mechanism from my old door. Please help.

Is this a quad cab? My rear windows go down all the way, and I don't know of any switch that prevents it from going all the way down, unless the child lock on the door does both. I don't use either, so I'm not sure.

yes the child lock things on the back doors are only to keep the doors from being opened from the inside.kinda like a cop cars back doors.they don't have anything to do with the windows not going down all the way.i have kids i have to use the back door child lock things.

So it sounds like there's something stuck in the track, or a bad motor or limit switch.

Default Figured it out

I got it figured out. I pulled the door apart and took out the plastic lining and stuck a mirror in there and found out it had a wasp lock on the window. There was a huge mud wasp nest in the track of the window so it would only go down so far and it was so dense that the wheel from the window arm couldn't break thru it. I guess that is what you get when you buy a door from a truck that was wrecked and the interior open to the elements. Thanks for all the help and suggestions. I figured there wasn't a lock to keep it going down but you never know. Luckily the wasps were long gone!
