Default Stereo plug under dash

I bought the truck used, so I have no idea whether this is something stock or that the previous owner added for something.

Coming out to the left side of the ash tray, there's a tiny male stereo plug. It's smaller than a 1/8" plug, so I have no idea what it could be for. My first thought was that it's an IPod hookup, but it's way too small.

Curiosity hasn't got me digging under the dash yet.

Is this something from the factory? I can't imagine what the previous owner could have added that would need a stereo jack that small.

Pics? Likely not a factory item.

An Ipod uses a 3.5mm or 1/8" jack, not a 2.5mm

This is a 2.5mm

I'll just buy an 1/8" adapter for it and plug it into my IPod to see what happens.

It's an oddball size that no one uses for anything.

Actually, without some perspective, that could be either. There is a connector called a sub-mini, used in some headsets. Maybe some sort of recorder? Those used sub-minis for inputs.

Funny you should mention that. Right when I was opening this thread, I was wondering, "when is Silver going to get me back for being a turd on his thread?" I guess I found out. hehehe
