Looking good! So you just used fishing line to get your emblems off? Did it leave adhesive behind that you had to peel off of the truck? I am curious because I was thinking about doing mine and I have never done that before. I wanted to have my painted the same color as my truck to give it 3D type look. My friend is a professional painter and he said he would do it for the price of the materials. I wanted them cleared and baked, otherwise I would have done them myself. I think I am going to have my handles and mirrors painted also, maybe replace the moldings with chrome ones due to having chrome bumpers and wheels. I like your truck though and you got a kick A** deal on that cover!

Yep, used fishing line. The adhesive used was kinda like a 3m sticky foam. When i took my letters off, it looked like black emblems because the foam was still on the door. I left all of it on my truck so I'd be 100% where the emblems went back on after i painted them. You won't need to bake them.

Thanks for the info. The only reason I want to bake them is because I will be using professional auto paint and a decent layer of clear coat. I just think that having them baked in the booth will improve my overall finish. With the flat black trim paint you really don't need to do all that.
