It seems like it might be a little high. If you shopped around you could probably get a lower price I would think.

Yeah, I think $600 is the going rate for all stainless exhaust, at least up here in upstate NY; everything is expensive up here. I think I'm going for the stainless, whats the point of not getting stainless. You'll be back in a few years to replace the pipes. Heavy Sack those tips look nice!! I absolutely love the look of duals out the back. Thanks for the advice all!!! Hopefully I will have new exhaust in the next couple of weeks, will post pics!!

Just becareful. Magnaflow uses T409 Stainless as well as MOST other exhaust manufacturers. Stock Mopar exhuast is T304 SS. If they have T304 for the $699 then yes good deal, but I promise they have T409 which will generate surface rust as it has more mild steel than 304. There are manufacturers that make 304, but you have to look and they are fairly expensive. The aluminum pipes won't last at all in my Northeast weather. I got my Magnaflow catback for $500 shipped to my door off Ebay, it's 409.

Yeah I live in the Northeast too, that's why I want to go SS. Can you show the ebay item you purchased, if you don't mind?? Also, did you install yourself, because my prices are with installation. Thanks.

Installation was so very easy especially being a truck where no lift is needed. I just lay a large piece of carboard out so I can slide under the truck and move around easy. Creepers lift you up a few inches and that's just too close. Anyways, the hardest part was getting the 2 factory clamps off since they have a wierd slip joint so no twisting or rocking motion to aid in removing the old pipe, only straight pulling. I had to pry a screw driver in there and work it so i didn't have to cut my factory exhaust incase I ever re-installed it.

I have the second one, but it was from another Ebayer and i offered him $500 and he accepted. I do have slight surface rust already and it is just about 1 year since it's been installed. It will never rust fully through, but if you opt with a 304 stainless set-up you won't even get surface rust, just very minor pitting.
Installation took a total of 1hr. The new kit will have 2 clamps and one hanger bracket to mount that uses a 9/16" bolt. Very easy man. Magnaflow has been on 3 of my cars so far and fitment has been great, no fighting like some cheapo companies because their CNC molds aren't correct or exact.

It's weird, Magnaflow told me that those won't work on an 08 because they have a different cat converter maker and I guess the Y pipe is different than the 06/07. I want the dual out the rear set-up, but there is none listed on their site yet.
There is no rust on the Mustang kit that I have on my old ugly fox
I got it for $350 new.

Stay away from the aluminized stuff if possible. It is good for about 5 years max. My Flowmaster and tailpipes rotted away in about 4 years on my 01 F150. The stainless tips were great though

They factory system is stainless, but looks rusty.

As for the original question, that is high. I $300 is more realistic. Also, Flowmaster only shows aluminized steel mufflers in the 40-80series on their website. Never seen a stainless Flowmaster.
