two bolts that go into the bumper, do i have to worry about them if im taking off the brackets and everything

yeah thanks for the pm chopper it helped alot, thanks to everyone else as well, i was planning on doing the same way you did but without the 2k urethane,

I'm sorry, but you have to use the 2K Urethane body primer over the self-etching primer. If you don't the chrome and self-etch will oxidize through the paint and ruin.

can i pick up the 2k at any auto parts or like hardware store?

Not hardware. Are you using spray cans or are you spraying with a gun? If aerosol, I have no clue. This is two part primer. It has to have an activator mixed with it. You'd have to get it from an automotive supplier.

i would be using a sprayer tho i just got an email from a powdercoater that they will blast and powdercoat both bumpers for 125 so i may go that route

That's good. Can't get better than that. Your bumpers will last longer than your truck, powder coated.
