Default bumper removal

tried searching couldnt find anything so im wondering how to remove the rear bumper on my 03 1500, i know theres bolts ect but the ones on the bracket into the bumper are hard to get to can i remove the brackets or do i have to just take the bumper off and leave the bracket,

i changed my bumper a couple yrs ago so its been a while. i believe you can just take the bumper off and leave brackets on. but it depends on what you are doing? are you leaving it like this for a couple days? if you are i would just take the brackets off too its not that hard

its gunna be off from wed-sunday becuase im gunna be painting it, i was hoping to be able to take the brackets off too to make it easier to get to the bolts on the bumper,

yea you can do it easier way. i would take the brackets off too bc then it would be easier all around...

one more quick question, do i have to remove the hitch to take the bumper off?

I wouldnt think you would have to remove the hitch, I guess it depends on which one you have. I wouldnt have to take mine off. Actually, it would make it easier for installation, because I could rest my bumper on my hitch.
