A couple of installation tips: Set the bar on the ground, leaning against the rear axle with the "ears" of the bar facing in the right direction. Also, run the nuts down the threaded rods with an occasional shot of WD-40 BEFORE you put them in the truck. That will make them easier to install when you're on your back under the rear end. Removing the spare will make it easier, too.

I was looking at getting a sway bar. I didn’t know that we already had a front one, so I was looking at getting both front and rear bars. The only one I could find for the front for a 06 4WD was from ADDCO, but I’ve never heard of them and I don’t know if they are good or not. Would it be worth it to get both front and rear sway bars, or just the rear?

Cool Front and rear sway bars.

I just ordered front and rear sway bars. I measured the original front sway with my digital calipers and I got 1 7/16" That is a pretty big sway bar. I ordered new from SuspensionConnection.com. Website say's new front ADDCO is 1 3/8" but this is incorrect. I called them yesterday. It is really 1 1/2" witch is only slightly bigger than stock. But my bushings are bad so I thought I'd replace the whole kit. My truck has no rear sway. The ADDCO rear I ordered is 1". I shopped several websites and these guy's had the best price.
2002-2008 Dodge Ram 1500 2wd - $171.82 $171.82
FRONT Sway Bar (1 3/8"
Diameter) - ADDCO # 2256

2002-2008 Dodge Ram 1500 2wd - $123.94 $123.94
REAR Sway Bar (1"
Diameter) - ADDCO # 2313

I also just got the
McGaughys Lowering Kit 2"/4.5".

I will probably wait until the sways come in before I lower it. But I will try and take some pictures and let you know how it has changed the ride.
