Default Off to the 4th gen section

Just thought id say thanks for all your help but Im off to the 4th gen section now. Sold my 02 qc, totalled the 08 qc, so now i have a 09 ram 1500 qc. You guys were very helpful, made decision making a lot easier. I'm looking at buying another 02 rcsb standard tranny to make into a off road truck so I may be back shortly.

Congrats on the new purchase. Even though it is a 4th gen , I think we would all like to see some pics of it.

I didn't even know that you were a member, never seen you here before.

But enjoy the section, but really sorry to hear about the 08. What happened, and do you have any pictures of it by any chance. But hope you can find an old 3rd gen to make it back here.

It's actually a pretty sad story for the 08. I brought it to a shop to get my grill, lift, and tires put on, and when they finished everything they decided to take it for a test drive and forgot to tighten the front wheel....and then disaster struck. So the end of it all they ended up repaying me for the lift, tires, and grill, so I didnt loose any $$ there plus they offered to fix the truck but the insurance said it was a write off and i went and picked out my new 09. Basically I just finished paying off my 08 they totalled it, and got an 09 for free from the insurance plus the money the company gave me for my accessories they ruined, im gonna invest in this truck.

Did the company's insurance cover the replacement or yours? It should have been their insurance.

Either way, welcome to the 4th gen world.

Man, thats a swift kick to the nuts. Guess things happen for a reason. Hell, I know it sucks, but personally that wouldve been a good deal for me. Get to upgrade to an 09, get paid back what you spent on the goodies, hopefully your insurance wasnt even involved, AND you weren't even involved in the accident.....

It all went through their insurance and not mine. I wasn't involved it was the mechanical that worked on my truck, decide to try it out and make sure everything was ok. Yeah i think the only reason they gave me $$ for the accessories is because i bought most of it from there except the rbp grill but i brought that there in the box still. plus they pretty much wrecked everthing they put on from their accident. the guy said he paid me back out of his pocket and didnt go through insurance for the accessories but $5000 is a nice chunk of money for a new start on modding.
