Question Bahh they rub

so i got my truck lifted. now after the tire install (kumho KL71 35/12.50/17) they are rubbing on the control arm when the wheels are straight. The shop is installing 1/4inch wheel spacers -- think that will solve my problem? also what about turning?

What kind of lift? What year is your truck? And why pay a shop to install wheel spacers?

The 1/4 inch spacers should be fine. I had them on my 91 F150 with 35's and a 3" body lift. The tires rubbed a bit when turning if I remember correctly. I just cut the plastic mud guard thing in the wheel well.

Do you have the stock 17's? Can you take a picture of where it rubs? The spacers should do the trick.

yeah its the stock 17's - i cant take a pic its at the shop -- umm but if its rubbing on the control arm and then i space it 1/4 inch -- it should never rub through the whole turning radius because that is the axis of the turn, right . like say this thing - the dash is the control arm and < the thing is the wheel -< that is rubbing now add the spacer - < that should never rub assuming that - stay the same during the turning radius , and it does

what size lift did you get from Rough Country? I thought they only made the leveling kit with the rear blocks for the 08

yep, 1/4" spacers or an aftermarket wheel with some decent backspacing are what you need...
