Who? Me? No. But I had exactly what you did. Right side clips broke and ground into the bearing cap.

Mine's at the stealership right now getting a rectal cleaning..I mean a new rear end...I mean my LSD fix(d)
(That still sounds wrong)

I would. Absolutely. I'm willing to put money down that says your clips are busted and grinding away back there.

95-140w oil for the rear. But if you find metal back there, I wouldn't bother putting good oil back in. Bolt on the cover, get it on a tow truck and deliver it to the dealer.

Yeah I know Im out or warranty and I sure as hell wont take it to them. I can handle it. Ive got a shop full of tools and will buy whatever I might not have. But in all honesty and with me not having any issues, at this point I do not suspect any major issues if any. I would pull the cover and flush it out and re-seal it. Worse case, new aftermarket LSD. But the dealership sure wont be touching it. Can I get a solid answer on whay type oil though?

You should still have your 7/70,000 powertrain on that truck. That's how mine is being covered.

What I can't get an answer to is, are the new parts any better than what's in it? What happens if it fails again?

As for what oil to use? Any name brand synthetic 75-140.
