Wanna whoop them chipped diesles!

Well, that's all that was... I now know that you know how to bolt on a turbo and adjust the fuel mixture... Those seat of the pants numbers are pretty impressive, you must have one of those new assdynos?

Most are done by weight and ET. The Supra (3600 lbs) trapped 122 mph at 18 psi on 93 octane. The person who bought it had it dynoed and it did 505whp in that tune. The fuel system and turbo were capable of 23-25 psi with more octane. The Stealth ran 12.5 @ 109 at 4050 lbs. The Subaru isn't finished yet but a 400whp estimate is on the low end based on the results of others.
You need better reading comprehension. I said: "Aftermarket programming methods just don't offer he same level of tuning control as an OEM setup."
See that? TUNING CONTROL. I never once said the factory tune was best. You're not going to get fine control by slapping on piggyback modules. That's especially true with Dodge's super-secret ECMs.
You can make an AWD DSM run 11s for maybe $2-3k these days. I guess since you ran into an idiot with one we can assume you're the generic Cobra owner sporting a mullet running 13.90s? See - stereotypes don't work.
Bah - he's an amateur.
I've been e-arguing since ~ 1993, when all the major message board software was still in beta testing.

You sounded like you had no idea what you were talking about and seemed like another one of those member that just because they read stuff on the forums they think they know what they are talking about.
NOW, I'm glad you responded back because either you did your homework or you may just know what you are talking about???....lol
On the factory tuning. You are correct about Chrysler, but have you ever been to a Dynomometer with SCT tuning software for Fords? There are so many sub pages inside sub pages the tuning is beyond disgusting. It blows the stock tuning out of the water. Stock tunes are going to be near best DD tunes. Custom tuning by far SCT on that note. I'm sure Diablo has very similar maps and schedules for their software. Again, obviusly not for Chrysler.
On the 13.90 slip for my Cobra. Uhh, no. Try 11.7 on streets and 11.1 on slicks. Not stock. It's a GT frame that I've built off of. Here's what I've got. Fully forged, running a 12psi pulley right now. Ran the 11.1 on the 8psi pulley which ran 473rwhp/468rwtq on a Mustang Dyno. I ran a 526 on a crappy Dynojet on that 8lb pulley just shows you how much the different style of Dynomometers can be so take that into consideration when your converting ET times and weight to get HP numbers.
Ohh, no mullet. Just a Flo-Be.....lol
Nothing here is meant as any personal attack. i say things the way they are and if you don't like it or we have a difference of opinions then so be it. There's nothing wrong with some arguing. Just keep it toned down. Thanks for reading.
on the diesel vs. gas hopes not gonna happen. especially not in a 2500 hemi. maybe a rcsb 1500 hemi 2x4 with steep gears, STS turbo, forged internals running a metric **** ton of boost and you might and a big might have it.
other than that you may as well just buy a diesel because by the time you spend the money to make that hemi come close to it you coulda bought one too. can't beat em join em

Besides, after this long, I usually can predict a car's power by riding in it. I also do pretty well when watching Pass Time on Speed.
Instead of arguing I'd call it a "spirited discussion". And I've raced literally every car I've owned. FWIW, my 2001 Grand Marquis LSE (Superchips, intake, ported upper intake manifold) ran 9.9 in the 1/8th which totally shocked the ricers. I'm not sure if it was because you never see that kind of car racing or if it was because it was faster than their Civics.
