If you are in the hood finding business, see if you can find me one. Black, scoop or cowl, close to Philly. Ready, go!

Im in Central Florida between Tampa and Orlando... red with a scoop would be good...

And Im not looking forward to dropping 400 on a hood but I want one anyways...and youve got to make concessions some where... plus as long as they all suck cold air why am I going to spend 70 more for a name brand? And maybe 1 or 2 extra hp?

well here's another opinion on that intake... No, it's not a CAI, but I have recently put that exact intake on my truck and have seen no problems so far. I actually like it alot. I actually feel like the truck is alittle stronger, judging by the "SEAT-O-METER". I do understand the statements about the air but I really don't think it's sucking any hotter air than the last intake I had. Just my opinion.

Ive got this same "CAI" on my 5.7 and it does get better throttle response. As for everyones assuption of it pulling nothing but hot air, I have hooked up my SC3815 and watched the temps on the AIT and at idle, yes it can go up a bit but even at 20-25mpg I can watch them go back down.

Sounds like from the people that dont have them, they dont like it, but from the guys that do have them they enjoy it....

I mean to get a real "CAI" comparison I guess you would have to have both and run both while monitoring the AIT temps with a SC3815. You cant go my my numbers and someone elses numbers because out outside weather conditions would be different. But if someone close by with a unit different than mine would like to get together and record numbers and compare/post then I would be more than willing to help. IDK that mine is better because I havent ued anything else. I can just tell you how mine works and that I paid about $50 for it a few years back..
