even with my factory system, i never really had a problem with hearing my stereo while on the freeway over my flowmaster exhaust drone. i put the volume around 25 and it was fine for some easy listening. when you turn it up to around 35, then the front speakers sound like crap and the back ones was just static. i first replaced my HU and that probably made the biggest difference. i could turn it up to 45 without static and the rear speakers finally had some power going to them. right now, i just changed my door speakers and that made a good difference but not as much as my HU
i have a Pioneer HU right now and i recommend it. even the base model Pioneer HU will be a huge improvement and you can get if for around $80
the stock stereo only puts out like 66 watts max while most aftermarket HU have around 200 watts
on the subject of speakers, Pioneer isnt bad. they may not be the best out there but they are better than most and you cant beat them for the price. I think I saw some decent Pioneer 6x9s at walmart for like $35

it should fit but i dont think that even the stock Nav systems have another juice to power your speakers and make them louder

Hahah, Yes that is getting way pricey... Wish i had the money for one of them. I'd lovvvvee to have the stock gps, there's a few on ebay but i'm sure they'll all go for over 500. Hey i can dream though! hah!
