I have heard about it but not sure what it is or is referring too I have a 05 Ram and want to to know if this is something I should look forward too it has 51000 mile.Is there anyway to get rid of it once i get it, and what its from,
really thow dude just put in full synthetic at your next oil change you will be fine.
Had the tick start at 400miles. Went to Synthetic at 900miles. Tick is still very apparent. I'm at 4400 right now.
I added some Lucas oil stabilizer with the last oil change and that seemed to help out a bit plus I went to 5w-30. I only went that route because I have my MDS turned off.
If you've got 51k and no tich. You had tighter clearances in your valve guides. Clearly mine does not. Bums me out too. i got rid of my Cheby because it had lifter noise and the notorious piston slap upon start up.
I've done oil changes at 400, 900 and 3k so it has nothing to do with late oil changes, but that could cause an issue.
Thanks for the help didnt realize this was such a dumb question thought I would ask since Im fairly new to this forum. Thanks Again
