Storing a little deck is a lot easier then trying to store a fully enclosed trailer, just look at the size difference. Also I would need towing mirrors if i was carrying 2 sleds on there, but with 1 sled the sides retract and tuck in. The only real hassel I see would be filling the sleds up while up there, I guess you'd just have to fill them up before you load them.
Well that deck sticks out as far as a trailer would, so it wouldn't matter as far as back roads only truck wide!!

Prob shouldn't have evn driven that far....lol
I've squashed some suspensions before and when I put 17 square of modified rubber roofing rolls on the back of my silverado, I was like ohh sh*t. That's 1700lbs. It had the Z71 suspension so it had a bit of travelling to bottom out.
The truck was barely off the ground and that truck had a Payload of almost 2200lbs.
I've put 1,000lbs in the bed of my Ram before and it was starting to get squashed. The back was lower than the front with that amount of weight in it. I own a trailer for all my heavy hauling. Saves all the components on the truck. My trailer has tandem axles with brakes on both. I can't even feel the trailer behind me at full heavy stop with all 7,000lbs on the trailer. It's great.

I too have a trailer for heavy loads. A 20ft flatbed. (Actually 24ft from tongue to the back of the dovetail). I also have a 7500# winch on it. Here it is with my buddies Fox body on it. He bought it from another friend of mine and I towed it home for him because it had no tags or insurance. Not broke down!! Trailers are very hand for all kinds of stuff!! It's heavy duty, the darn thing weighs about 2400lbs.

Well I'm not sure what kind of quads you have, but my Polaris Sportsman is 800lbs. Two of those would be 1600lbs, which is already far overweight for the truck, then you have to add yourself and your gear. Even with just one 800 lb quad, plus 2 guys @ 200 lbs each, plus our gear is at the limit.

If you were to put one of these beds on your truck, you will probably want to use it for more than the truck can safely handle. If you really want one, I'd say trade your truck in for a CTD 3/4 or 1 ton.

I agree with the trailer too. I have had my Sportsman in the back of my truck and I really don't like doing it, even though the truck can handle the weight. It's not fun to load and unload it up that high, and then I need to try to fit the ramps in the bed too. I'm really looking into getting a trailer for mine, as I think that's the best way for me to transport it. Anyone have a decent single or double place quad trailer they can recommend? The tilting aluminum snowmobile trailers have a capacity that's too low, so I'm looking for something better than those.
