Question New to the forum

Hey guys just a new member here from california, ive been reading for a month now and i finally decided to join the group, Well i have a 2003 dodge ram 1500 california hemi express edition, and i have lots of mods in my mind but the first one is he exhaust, the stock exhaust sounds nice but to weak i want something better what do you guys recommend me? i was thinking about corsa or borla and the aero 3030 but idk tha videos on youtube dont convince me yet. Also i plan on getting a cold air intake wich i think i might go with volan cold air intake. Almost forgot does anyone know what the stock exhaust on the hemi express is? i got some videos on youtube if you want to take your time and hear it and tell me what you think it is, or if you think that the corsa or borla will be louder thanks. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gB8dNGPXviw http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5NIWa...e=channel_page

Hey buddy, welcome to the forum. Out of the three mufflers you mentioned I would go with the at3030. I personally like the sound of that muffler the best. Also, that is a nice looking truck you have. What makes a California hemi express, I have never heard of that before.

Yeah not the part of Cali i am from.

and also i would also go with the 3030, except i believe Aero is a)going out of buisness or b)thinking about not making mufflers anymore, so you could get one discounted if you play your cards right.

That's louder than "Stock". Sounds like it has the same exhaust as the Rumble Bee edition.

It will definitely sound deeper than the exhaust you have on there now. If I was you, I would ditch the resonators, but that is just the sound that I personally like.

Is there anything different about your emission controls on your truck since it is a california special? I hear that sometimes cars/trucks made specifically for cali have some unusual emission controls on them.

http://i56.photobucket.com/albums/g1...0406091502.jpg sorry for the poor quality but i took them from my cell phone. Ok im down to 2 choices Corsa or Borla wich one is better? by taking of the resonator wont i get drone? or wait with the 3030 i just have to cut the stock muffler and then put the new one in and weld it? can i keep the stock pipes? sorry but as you can see i am a noob at all this, i was planning on fixing up my 2004 gmc sierra but i dont like it id rather fix up my dodge thats my cheap Sierra lol http://i56.photobucket.com/albums/g1...n/DSC05000.jpg

Welcome to the forum! Where abouts in California are you? Im in Bakersfield, the armpit of hell...

Anyways. If your set on those options, I like the AT3030. Nice sounding setup.

Its not what Im running though. I typically dont talk about my exhaust because these guys dont like it! haha But I love it!

Heres a link. http://www.thecoffinmuffler.com/
They arent wide spread yet, i think thats why I chose em. They are located in Visalia, and the guy will hook you up. Let me tell you, my truck sounds throaty and vicious.
