Default Muffler Help

I am looking to get a Dynomax Super Turbo Muffler. I have an 08 Dodge Ram. Does anyone know what the inlet/outlet is on these trucks? I have no idea and have no idea of where to find this. Also is it offset or single in single out? Any help or any links would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I'm 80% sure that the inlet is 2.5" and outlet is 3", I believe thats what it was when I put my 40 series on. The offset and si/so or whatever it is all depends on how they make the muffler, you can buy it si/so, si/do, si/so offset, etc etc they make multiple kinds of mufflers on where the inlet/outlets are

3" in and out stock. Appears to be offset in/offset out.

thanks for the pictures very helpful. If i were to go with a 3" in center would it be that hard for the muffler shop to customize it? Im honestly looking for the easiest fit possible. at least now I know its 3" both in and out and that will help me alot of starters.

as long as you don't go over the diameter of the exhaust piping, the muffler should fit just fine I'm pretty sure

I had my muffler replaced w/ a Magnaflow 3" in/3" out. All that had to be done was the last two inches of the pipe coming into the muffler had to be cut off. That's it. Any halfways competent exhaust shop can do it.

That 2 1/2" neck down on the muffler is the ONLY place that isn't already 3" coming from the Y-pipe. Definitely worth doing to have a complete 3" exhaust.

On my 04 it was 3" in and I don't remember the out for certain but I believe it was also 3". If you are planning on just swapping out mufflers and reusing the stock pipes you are going to need some form of an adapter because your new muffler is going to almost certainly be shorter than the stock muffler that comes on these trucks.

Then you will definitely need something to make up that size difference.
