Default Really dumb question, but I'm away from my truck and need to know!!

Ok. So I am down at U of A right now and my truck is a good two and a half hours away from me!! I finally convinced my parents to let me bring my truck down to school!! So I bought a Mopar (Dodge Ram specific) locking gas cap, and this is where my question comes in. Does the locking gas cap fit in the little plastic "leash" that the standard gas cap is in??

Thanks,
Shane

Im thinking he just bought the cap that has a key lock. I wouldnt think the lanyard would fit in there though.

I've got the locking cap on my truck and it does not have the leash. It comes completely off when I unlock it and sits on my bed cover.

The "leash" would be where the key hole is. I hang my locking cap on the fuel door. It has a hook for it.

Nope, I am afraid of the guy who was going around here pouring stuff in people's gas tanks during the night. It isn't the best deterent but it is better than nothing.
