Default Hey All I am a new guy!

The name's Bud.
I grew up with Dodge/Mopar..owning two Challengers in my teens. That was many moons ago! Currently serving my country in the Army but started my Military Career as a U.S. Marine( that too was many moons ago!). Pretty much stayed with Dodge but did by the wife a Blazer but have since gotten her a Jeep Cherokee. I did have a 1990 Bronco II as a project truck where I put a 4" suspension lift and 3" body lift, big tires etc. but had to sell it cause the Army sent me back here to NC from Colorado. so if anyone can tell me about Uwarrie(sp?) I'd appreciate it.

I do have a question...my truck(2002 Dodge Ram 2500-Old Body style) has a factory 3" lift and right now I am running 265R7516's on her. Could I get away with 305's or a 33-35" tire before I would have to add more lift? Also, does anyone know of any websites that actually have aftermarket stuff for my truck? Getting tired of seeing stuff only to be told that its for an '03 and up 2500!

Anyway, glad to be here and glad I found a site where , hopefully, I can talk to other Ram 2500 (Old Body Style)drivers/owners and I can find what I want and do what I want with my truck!

Welcome Bud!! Thanks for your continued service and sacrifice for our country! We always give special treatment for our friends in the forces!

I only leveled my truck, and currently have 295/70/17s (33s) Nitto Terra Grapplers, and have had no issues whatsoever. I think your 3" of lift will provide sufficient space for a 35".

You should post some pics of your rig. Welcome once again!

I had a 2001 2500 (same body as yours) and ran 305/70r16 under the factory suspension using factory alloy wheels. If you are going to stay with the factory wheels I would recommend staying with a 285/75 instead of 305/70 as I had a rubbing issue at full lock. With aftermarket wheels that push the tires out a little bit you can run 305/70 with no problems. Both the 305/70 and 285/75 are 33" tires, only difference is width. When I added my Edge Juice with Attitude I had to calculate the tire circumference so it could compensate and display accurate road speed. The 305 and 285 tire come out within a tenth of an inch in circumference.

What engine and transmission does your 2500 have?

Welcome to DF. Fairly new here myself but have a lot of time behind the wheel of Dodge pickups, 2nd and 3rd generation.

Hey ArmyDodge - Welcome to DF, There are countless threads on tires, there are a few of my buddies round here that have tires you are looking at and some pretty awesome setups with so check around.

Defiantly going to have to get some pics up of your rig, and if you are looking to mod it and make her a cherry - these boys will tell ya how to spend your money the best.

Sucks that you are not in Colorado anymore, Isn't is beautiful? Miss it much (aside from cost of living)??

How do you start out in the marines and then go ARMY? I'm thinking it had to have been a damn good bonus, or a choice MOS.
ARMY= Ain't Real Marines Yet!
