no i dont think people will be that dumb to buy the motor for 5k then the hassle of putting it in and getting it right. also buying all the other parts which will make it like 10-15k. you can sell your truck and buy a srt for 20-23k. thats much easier
got a quick question while on topic of the insurance my truck recently got some nasty hail damage in fact $5000 in hail damage i have to get a new hood and roof do you insurance would be down to get me a srt hood instead?
Insurance is required to write you the check. They try to say find a place to get the work done and we'll give them the check. This is their way of forcing you to get the work done the right way. it doesn't have to be like that. You could get the check and cash the $5,000 and run and not even fix your truck. So technically you could get any hood you want to. I have dealt with several insurance claims and they are very pushy wanting you te let them do the work and so forth. Just stand your ground but don't tell them anything you plan to do. As far as they know, you'll get it fixed when the time is right. So that means the check should be payable to you.
I'm pretty sure a Viper motor is a special build request item and costs upwards of $20k+.; Sounds like a scam or not the real deal at $5k The SRT-10 motors are going for that if not more.
