Default 4.56 Mileage

Hey guys I did a little searching but I came up empty handed. I recently stepped up to 35's. I'm trying to figure out what gears I have and how much of a mpg drop I would see by dropping down to 4.56's.

Thanks!

I have 37's and 4:56 gears and I get about 14.3mpg.

Your mileage should go up by a couple in the city and drop a couple on the highway.

I use SC tuner and it adjusts the odometer. And I bet you only get 10.3 because you have the 4.7, because I get 14.3 with the Hemi and a Heavy foot.

I know Hammer has 35s and 4.56s and claims 15.5-16mpg highway.

Thanks for the replies guys. Sounds like the mod is well worth doing. How necessary is it to regear the front diff at the same time?
Thanks!

Yes! If both diffs are not at the same ratio and you engage 4WD you will wreck a lot of very expensive parts on your truck!!!

Yeah, like my proxy says, I get about 11.5-12 in town, 15.5-16 on trips, mostly interstate, not much over the speed limit. I notice a pretty big drop in mpg's if I set the cruise much above 75 mph.

Very heavy truck (for a 1/2 ton), but I have a lot of mpg mods as well. CIA, Headers, efan, etc...
